SIXSTRINGS started as a project created by Jose Salvador, a guitar virtuoso and spanish composer. His first album Cries of the Soul (2019) was entirely composed, recorded, and produced by himself, receiving excellent reviews in Powerplay Magazine, Fireworks Rock&Metal Magazine UK, as well as in various specialized media and online radio stations. Given the great reception, that same year he started SIXSTRINGS with experienced musicians from other bands. So, led by Jose Salvador, they kicked off with powerful live shows in venues around Barcelona area, aiming to establish themselves as a reference in the hard rock and heavy metal genre. Following this line, an EP was released in early 2020, A New Awakening, refurbishing old songs.
Once they got past the mandatory pandemic hiatus, the band released their second studio album, titled No Future (2022) followed by a succesful tour through Spain where the UK violinist Anna-Maria Luton joined and helped developing the next album.
This work was reflected in the new album World is On Fire (2026). The album, recorded at Wheelsound studios and Moontower studios in Barcelona, is being presented on a tour through Spain and United Kingdom. The evolution in the compositions and the solid and brilliant production quality, created a modern and powerful hard rock and heavy metal sound, as noted by major spanish media like MariskalRock.com.
The lineup is completed by Ricard Fernández on bass guitar and David Sáez on drums, both with +25 years of experience in hard rock bands in Spain, creating a solid live lineup and delivering an amazing guitar virtuoso show and an outstanding hard rock and heavy metal experience.
